If you are a future guardian of a Blue Creek Labradoodle, please take a moment to read over our guarantee and other details to help you along with your new puppy Hips : We guarantee your dog to be free of hip dysplasia per PENN hip guidelines. In order for this guarantee to be in effect, the dog must be x-rayed within first 24 months. If it is female, must not be x-rayed around her heat cycle, must be x-rayed by a radiologist who is certified for the PENN hip method. The dog must not have been bred or injured or the guarantee is nullified. If dog is certified to be dysplastic, the owner must submit a copy of the PENN hip report. Your dog's microchip number must be on file with us. Please submit proof that dog has been spayed or neutered. Food: We recommend a high quality, balanced puppy food for the first year... we use Purina Pro Plan Focus for Large Breeds. After one year of age, adjust the protein level of the well balanced food to the level of activity of the dog. It is important for your dog to keep a healthy weight for it's body structure. If you notice your dog becoming overweight it is your responsibility to cut the food a little and increase activity... just like children they rely on you to structure their lives, plenty of love (food is not always love)... time spent with them is the greatest gift of love you can give them, a regular feeding/potty schedule and time by themselves in a safe environment is important as well and DISCIPLINE early on. Don't allow them to nip and jump and tear things up right from the get go. Just like a child, if you wait too late to discipline you WILL have a troubled dog on your hands. Limit the "treats", a few pieces of their own food is a great reward. Don't let your dog jump down from the truck bed or from high places in the first year this is hard on their developing joints... you will want to help ease them down... or if your dog is elderly, you will want to help them down as well to preserve the mobility. Also... your puppy will eventually make a great running buddy, but also just like a child, give it a chance for joints, tendons, and muscles to develop! Do not over run or over work your puppy, leash training, retrieving and natural play is fine, follow your veterinarian guidelines on when it is safe to start running with your dog!
Eyes: Eyes are guaranteed against Progressive retinal Atrophy, progressive Rod-cone degeneration (PRA-prcd).
Other Genetic Disorders: For the first year of your puppy's life, we guarantee your pup to be free of any disease that is determined by agreement of your veterinarian (by examination) and ours (by description) to have a genetic cause. This includes only those disorders which threaten the health of the dog... This includes only those disorders which are 100% genetic... This includes only those disorders where environmental factors can be completely ruled-out.
If a problem is covered by our guarantee: We, Blue Creek Labradoodles, will replace the puppy with another pup from a similar breeding, when available. Travel costs or shipping to return the dog are not covered.
Guarantee depends on positive Identification: The guarantee above depend on being able to positively identify the dog. The guarantees above are not in effect unless your dog is micro chipped and his/her information is on file with us. Guarantee is non transferable.
The above guarantee is VOID if the dog has been bred, and if it is not neutered or spayed. A copy of proof of neutering or spaying must be submitted to us with microchip number from the veterinarian for our records, in order for the health guarantee to be in effect.
We do not guarantee against worms and parasites. Our dogs are hunting dogs, athletes, as well as life long companions that like to swim in lakes and rivers, romp through the woods and fields, roll in, smell, taste and eat dead, foul smelling stuff , stuff left behind from deer, turkeys, cows, horses... you get the picture.... that being said, we have an aggressive ongoing deworming program for our adult dogs here at Blue Creek Labradoodles , as well as for our new puppies. We alternate dewormers, using Fenbendazole and Pyrantel Pamoate. Puppies get dewormed every two weeks while with us, we require new owners to follow up with deworming with each set of new shots the puppy gets, and more often if they are exposed to stuff, use your good discretion. Our puppies are not sold with Breeding rights unless a special arrangement has been made by us with an established breeder. By signing below, you agree to not breed your labradoodle. If it is a female, you will have her fixed by one year of age, or after first heat cycle. For females, we recommend the spay procedure which spares the ovaries, this somewhat protects the hormones for your developing dog (interview the vet about this procedure). Likewise we recommend you wait to neuter the male until about a year as well.
When you do get your dog spayed or neutered please submit proof to us, from your vet. via email or snail mail. firstname.lastname@example.org or Blue creek Labradoodles P.O. Box 271 Addy, WA. 99101
Breeding rights are obtained by special agreement only to certain established breeders that meet our qualifications with their breeding program. We have worked hard to build our breeding program, we are small but we do take this seriously, please respect this.
If for any reason in the future you are not able to keep your Blue Creek Labradoodle, please contact us, as we appreciate the first opportunity for rehoming. We understand life changes and priorities change! Thank You! 509-993-6603.
